Knights of Columbus

The St. Francis Xavier Council # 6430 of the Knights of Columbus was chartered in January of 1973. Charter membership totaled 70 and has grown steadily over the years.

The Knights of Columbus is a "Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization" which emphasizes service programs for the church community. The principles of the Order have remained intact as established by Father McGivney . . . Charity . . . Unity . . . Fraternity . . . Patriotism. The Knights of Columbus meet monthly at their hall.

Ladies Auxiliary

The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary was established to assist and promote the welfare of the Knights of Columbus. They also promote charitable activities and sociability among its members. The Auxiliary also meets monthly at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Sewing Groups

The Parish as a Sewing Circle comprised of dedicated women who have a special skill in quilting. These ladies meet one day a week in the Parish meeting room. They prepare a number of quilts for the Annual Quilt Auction and Picnic and Fall Supper Raffles.

Also the parish has been divided into neighborhood groups who are responsible for preparing one quilt per group for the Quilt Auction held at our Summer picnic. Many of these are quilted in the parish meeting room by groups quilting in the evenings.

Church Choir

Our church choir is an excellent way to share your special talent for song with others. This is a mixed choir of all ages and new members are always welcome. The choir practices regularly several months prior to the Christmas and Easter seasons. The fruits of their efforts is beautifully demonstrated at Masses during the Christmas and Easter seasons as wells as some holydays and special events.

Prayer Line

In an attempt to get people connected to one another through the power of prayer, our parish offers a Prayer Line. You can serve others by offering to pray in time of need, when requests are made; or you may make prayer requests and others will pray for your requests. The parish has a very active group involved in this effort.
