The Parish hosts two major fund-raisers each year. We have a
summer picnic and a harvest festival.
Picnic
Our St. Francis Xavier Parish Picnic is held every June on
Father's Day. We offer a delicious family-style dinner of golden-fried chicken
and roast beef, a huge raffle, a quilt auction, country store and numerous
fun-filled games. We always draw a tremendous crowd from the surrounding
communities. Every parishioner is expected to volunteer their time to work at
the picnic in support of the Parish.
Harvest Festival
Our Harvest Festival is held the first Sunday of November. We
have the most unique harvest festival menu. We serve roast turkey and "Taos
Tasty Treat" sausage along with trimmings of heritage dressing, sweet
potatoes, fried Osage apples and much much more. We have available in the parish
gym a country store, a Christmas craft booth, the large raffle, bingo and other
games. This is also a time for all parishioners to work together for the good of
the parish.
