We will have a crib on display by the altar for you to place your gifts. This is just a good way for our parish to reach out and help the less fortunate. Let's continue praying for Birthright volunteers and mothers. If you have any questions, you can call Kathy Hayes at 395-4805.

We welcome into Gods family Lauren Grace Spratt daughter of David & Nikkie who was baptized in our parish this weekend.

Holiday Memorials are a great way to remember those who have died. If you would like to contribute to the Christmas decorations, you may make a donation in the memory of a loved one and his or her name will appear in the holiday bulletin. A suggested offering would be fifteen dollars. You may drop your donation in the mail, the collection, or drop it by the office.

If your family would like to donate toward a Christmas gift for Father Dave and Deacon Jim, please put in an envelope marked Christmas gift and drop in the collection basket.  Thank you, Parish Council

CHRISTMAS IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!! Is your Christmas buying list long, and your gift idea list short?? How about purchasing Scrip or Gift Cards for your employees, friends, and family. There are lists of participating businesses at each door of the church or you can go to www.glscrip.com for a complete list of all businesses that participate nationally. The profit from the sale of these gift cards benefits the St. Francis Xavier Home and School Association. Any questions or to place an order you can call Shirley Woehr at 395-4268, or send the order form through school. Thank you in advance for your support.

                                                                November 27, 2007
My Dear People,
A Blessed Advent! The beginning of this new and final month of 2007 is also the exact first day of a new Church year of grace and peace! Advent summons us to seriously reflect on what it is we truly desire from Jesus Christ. This past year for some was one filled with darkness, illness, money problems, tensions and worry. Advent powerfully reminds us to begin anew with Jesus Christ as our Hope and our Light. Only the Prince of Peace can grant us what we truly need. Let us turn to Him again as we begin a new year.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, Mother of the Church, who cooperated so wonderfully in the Incarnation, make fruitful our prayers in our attentive waiting for the Redeemer. Come, Lord Jesus! Maranatha!
With my best wishes and personal regards, I am
Sincerely yours in Christ,
     Most Reverend John R. Gaydos

Bishop of Jefferson City
