BIRTHRIGHT SHOWER: Our parish will be having a shower for Birthright during the Advent Season. Birthright is in need of new and used baby items. We especially can use diapers and baby clothing. We will have a crib on display by the altar for you to place your gifts. This is just a good way for our parish to reach out and help the less fortunate. Let's continue praying for Birthright volunteers and mothers. If you have any questions, you can call Kathy Hayes at 395-4805.

We welcome into Gods family Carter Anthony Kempker son of Chad & Crystal who was baptized in our parish this weekend.

Taste the monastic life! Women, ages 18-48, come to the Benedictine Life Experience weekend on Friday, December 7th at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, December 8th, at 5 p.m. Work and pray with the sisters. Learn about St. Benedict. For more information or to register, contact Sr. Alice O'Brien 446-2300.

St. Francis Xavier School is in need of a vacuum cleaner. If you can donate a used one please drop it off at the school or call Gary at 395-4612.

A REWARDING WAY TO SPEND TIME WITH GOD
I have been a coordinator for church cleaning for a year now and find the short 3-4 hours it takes once a month very rewarding and a very special time to spend with God. Please consider stepping up and volunteering to take charge of cleaning God’s house for one weekend a month. I would love to answer any of your questions and/or meet you at church to give details. What a great way to show God how grateful we are for all He does for us. Jean Pinnell – 694-2111.

POLICY: If you are unable to work on your assigned date, turn in your $15 to the parish office.

St. Francis Xavier Reconciliation Service
Dec. 13th, @ 7 p.m. On Thursday, December the 13th, our parish will gather to celebrate the healing love of God in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This service begins at 7:00 P.M. We will have several priests from the area here to celebrate with us. What a great way to prepare for the coming of the Prince of Peace!

Locally-Grown Christmas Trees: The St. Peter School Cub Scouts are holding their annual Christmas Tree Sales Drive from Friday, November 23, through Monday, December 24, on the Schulte’s Fresh Foods parking lot.

Holiday Memorials are a great way to remember those who have died. If you would like to contribute to the Christmas decorations, you may make a donation in the memory of a loved one and his or her name will appear in the holiday bulletin. A suggested offering would be fifteen dollars. You may drop your donation in the mail, the collection, or drop it by the office.

If your family would like to donate toward a Christmas gift for Father Dave and Deacon Jim, please put in an envelope marked Christmas gift and drop in the collection basket.  Thank you, Parish Council

The Giving Tree for the Samaritan Center has ornaments available. The parish has adopted 10 families from the Samaritan Center this Christmas Season. We would like the wrapped gift with the ornament tag on the gift returned by December 15th to Reker Hall, distribution will be Dec. 16th between 11:30 a.m. & 1 p.m. Your generosity is greatly appreciated by these families … in some cases this is their only Christmas. If you have any questions, contact Jane Haslag at 395-4784 or Diana Wekenborg at 395-4351.

CHRISTMAS IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!! Is your Christmas buying list long, and your gift idea list short?? How about purchasing Scrip or Gift Cards for your employees, friends, and family. There are lists of participating businesses at each door of the church or you can go to www.glscrip.com for a complete list of all businesses that participate nationally. The profit from the sale of these gift cards benefits the St. Francis Xavier Home and School Association. Any questions or to place an order you can call Shirley Woehr at 395-4268, or send the order form through school. Thank you in advance for your support.

Helias Band & Color Guard Gator Bowl Fundraiser: The Helias Band and Color Guard is having a fundraiser for their upcoming trip to the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, FL.
