This fall our Diocese will again involve itself in a common pastoral practice across the United States known as the ‘October Count.’  Each individual who attends the weekend Eucharist across our Diocese during the month of October will be counted in order to allow for better pastoral planning for the benefit of our parishes and our Diocese.  The month of October is selected since it has been statistically proven that it represents the best month for this project.

Communion Ministers: Bishop Gaydos has instructed all pastors to make changes in how the chalices are cleaned after Holy Communion. All chalices and communion cups are to be purified by the priest or deacons. Therefore, I ask that when you finish with distributing the communion cup at Holy Communion time, please return it to the servers’ room, consume any remaining consecrated wine, and leave the cup with the white cloth in the sink for myself and / or the deacon to clean before the next Mass. Thank you for your attention to this.    Fr. Dave

St. Francis Xavier Parish will be initiating a new Automatic Banking procedure effective November 1st. This will allow automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. This can be done on a weekly, twice a month, every two weeks, once a month or even on a one time basis. Forms will be available at the entrances to the church and / or at the Parish Office. If interested, please complete the authorization form and return it either in the collection basket or to the parish office. We hope this will be assistance to our parishioners who have asked that we give them the option to do automatic withdrawals and will also assist the many parishioners in their tithing who are out of town for a number of weekends. More information will be forthcoming in the next several weeks.
