Monday, September 24th: Confirmation Opening Mass Sept. 30th at 6 p.m. Helias High School is sponsoring a College Prep event on Wednesday, Sept. 26th, at 7 p.m. in the Helias Library. Ms. Faye Kunz is presenting a program dealing with the process involved in applying to colleges and universities with a specific emphasis on selective and highly selective schools. Ms. Kunz will go through the application process and expand on the college essay and personal resume. All parents and students are invited to attend. Attention: Early in October the Missouri Catholic Conference will be collecting signatures to get the cures without cloning initiative on the ballot. We will need 4 or preferable 5 people at each mass, for 2 weekends. Please call Mary Eiken at 395-4387 or 634-5195 if you can help. Help is needed!! St. Francis Xavier Church is in need of a Church Cleaning Coordinator for the first Saturday of each month. The coordinator is responsible for contacting that week helpers and assigning cleaning duties and making sure the church is clean. If you can help please contact Pam at the parish office at 395-4401

K of C Family Picnic Sunday, Sept. 30th at the KC Hall. Meal will be provided. Senior Citizens are welcome. $13,000 drawing will take place at this event. Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with your Children is a national movement that encourages parents to frequently eat dinner with their kids. The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University has found that the more often kids eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink or use drugs. St. Peter’s Ladies Sodality Card Party, Wednesday, Oct. 3rd, from 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Selinger Center. Card Party Tickets are $2.50 each, raffle tickets are $1.00 each. It’s that time of year again for the Taos Harvest Festival. Remember to mark your calendar for November 4th.
