FINANCIAL PROBLEMS - We have the following bills which must be paid on a monthly basis and have been falling short on our weekly contributions which have been forced the carryover of many of the bills from month to month.
Payroll $50,000                                           Diocesan Assessments 6,000
Parish portion on Health Ins 11,215          Property Insurance 2,500
Employer Social Security 3,700                Utilities 6,000
Employee Retirement (403B) 1,400         Monthly General Bills 4,000.

We ran short by $21,000+ from last year which we have had to make up in addition to our present budget.

Most of the income is from the weekly collections. We sincerely asked our parishioners to dig a little deeper to help us out with our cash flow problems.

We also have a large percentage of our parishioners who contributed nothing toward our parish income. There is no better time to begin contributing than during this Lenten season.

EASTER MEMORIALS: Easter season is quickly approaching, and we are planning ahead for decorations. You can donate an Easter Memorial for the decorations in a loved one’s name. The names will be published in the Easter Bulletin. The cost will be $15. Donations need to be in by March 16th. You can drop it in the collection basket or at the parish office marked "Easter Memorial."

Bishop John R. Gaydos invites you to attend our annual Chrism Mass at the Cathedral Church of St. Joseph, 2301 W. The oil of the Infirm, the oil of the Catechumen and the Sacred Chrism are also blessed at this time. These oils impact the lives of those who are preparing to enter into the Church, those who are ill, and all preparing for Confirmation and Holy Orders.

                                        KNOWING GOD
I have worked in the fertile earth and planted a garden, so I know what faith is.

I have listened to the birds caroling in the early morning and at dusk, so I know what music is.

I have seen the morning without clouds after showers, so I know what beauty is.

I have sat before a wood fire with old friends, so I know what companionship is.

I have walked the paths of quietness along the forest floor, so I know what peace is.

I have dwelt in the valley of remembrance and on the hills of home, so I know what love is.

I have seen the miracle of spring, the fruition of summer, and the beauty of autumn, followed by response of winter, so I know what Life is.

And because I have perceived all these things, I know what God is.
