Lenten Program: “The Gift of Prayer” is the title of the six-part program the Diocesan Education Office is offering to help small groups of adults in parishes to share their faith journey during lent.

The purpose of the program is to offer individuals a chance to develop and deepen their experience of personal prayer life.

If you would like to get together with your neighbors, card club, sewing group or Bible study group, etc. and discover the power of prayer, the Diocese has a guide wit prayer, scripture readings, DVD of 12 – 15 minutes mediations for participants to follow. Materials need to be ordered by January 23rd. Please call Barbara Schmitz at 395-4000 if you are interested or the parish office at 395-4401.

The Knights of Columbus would like to thank everyone one who supported the “One Rose for Life”. Also, would like to thank all who support us during the past year.FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP is scheduled at Helias High School on January 23rd, at 6:30 p.m. in the Helias Library. The Financial Aid Director with Westminster College will address the different forms of financial aid available and the process involved in completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This workshop is designed for parents / students in grades 12 and 11.

The ACH form has been revised and is available at the church entrances and / or parish office. Previously completed forms will be honored.

JR. HIGH DANCE - The "Angels of Hope" Relay for Life Team will sponsor a Jr. High dance on January 25, at Jefferson City Knights of Columbus, 1822 Tanner Bridge Rd., from 7:00 - 10:00. Area 6th, 7th, & 8th grade parochial students are invited to attend. The cost is $5.00. Proceeds to benefit Relay for Life, American Cancer Society.

St. Margaret Parish in Osage Bend has published a Centennial History book now available for purchase for $50. (+$5 S&H) per book if mailed. The 368 page hard bound book includes parish, community and family history and features over 800 pictures including weddings, families, events, rural life and by gone days. Pilgrimages to Medjugorje: We have three pilgrimages scheduled to St. James Church in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina for 2008. Nick and Bosica Bartulica (who grew up in the Medjugorje area) will again be conducting each pilgrimage. The dates are: May 28 – June 5 ($1,795), June 4 – June 12 ($1,895) and October 1-9 ($1,845). These prices include accommodations and most meals. We expect pilgrims from central Missouri to participate in all three pilgrimages. Prayerfully consider joining us.
