He married Alta Davis 3 Sept 1877. Alta was born 7 Apr 1850 in MO. Alta died 31 Dec 1933 at 83 years of age.

Andrew Chitwood and Alta Davis had the following children:

324 i. William Jonathan⁸ Chitwood was born in MO 17 Sept 1878. William died 20 May 1950 at 71 years of age. He married Rosa Etta Whitchurch 5 Sept 1907. Rosa was born 5 May 1886 in Ellington, Reynolds Co., MO. Rosa died 25 Mar 1964 in Moberly, MO, at 77 years of age. Her body was interred Mar or Apr 1964 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem, Dent Co., MO.

325 ii. Caroline Chitwood was born in MO 6 May 1879. Caroline died 21 July 1953 at 74 years of age. She married John Henry Morrison 9 Dec 1905. John was born 22 Jan 1875. John died 3 Jan 1936 at 60 years of age.

326 iii. James Franklin Chitwood was born in MO 1880. James died 1962 at 82 years of age. He married Josephine Hayes 1903.

327 iv. Lucy A. Chitwood was born in MO 1884. Lucy died 1940 at 56 years of age. She married Neal Stroup 1903.

328 v. Columbus Chitwood was born 1885. Columbus died 1905 at 20 years of age.

329 vi. Nancy Elizabeth Chitwood was born 1887. She married George Randolph 1906.

330 vii. Wesley Andrew Chitwood was born in Shannon Co., MO 13 June 1889. Wesley died 3 Apr 1969 in Rolla, MO, at 79 years of age. His body was interred Apr 1969 at Chitwood Cemetery in Reynolds Co., MO. He married Bessie Mae Stroup 16 Feb 1909.

331 viii. Chapel Wilburn Chitwood was born in MO 1891. Chapel died 1972 at 81 years of age. He married Lillie Randolph.
