He married Elizabeth "Betty" Robinson. Elizabeth was born 5 Nov 1847 in Reynolds Co., MO. Elizabeth died ca 1940 in Edmond, OK. Her body was interred ca 1940 at Chitwood Cemetary in Edmond, OK.

Henderson Chitwood and Elizabeth "Betty" Robinson had the following children:

280 vi. Eliza Chitwood was born in MO 1879. Eliza died 1974 in OK, at 95 years of age. She married Ellis Hiatt.

281 vii. Lucy Chitwood was born in MO 1883. Lucy died 1960 at 77 years of age. She married Seward Snyder.

282 viii. Sarah Chitwood was born in MO 1885. Sarah died 1951 at 66 years of age. She married Clyde Bailey.
