He married Mary E. "Polly" Sutton 15 Sept 1859 in Iron Co., MO. Mary was born 8 May 1834 in MO. Mary was the daughter of John Sutton Jr. and Elizabeth Strickland. Mary died 27 Sept 1901 in Reynolds Co., MO, at 67 years of age. Her body was interred Sept or Oct 1901 at Old Bethlehem Cemetery in Reynolds Co., MO.
