86. Isaac Shelby⁵ Chitwood (Pleasant⁴, James³, Richard², Matthias¹) was born in TN 28 Jan 1815. Isaac died 14 Apr 1872 in Jefferson Co., KS, at 57 years of age.

He married Charity Elswick 21 Sept 1836. Charity was born 1819 in TN. Charity died 28 May 1889 in Jefferson Co., KS, at 69 years of age.

Isaac Shelby Chitwood and Charity Elswick had the following children:

183 i. Lucinda Jane⁶ Chitwood was born in TN 1839. She married Wm. "Wilson" Davis 1856 in TN.

184 ii. Andrew E. Chitwood was born in TN 1841. Andrew died 1861 in TN, at 20 years of age.

185 iii. Lewis Chitwood was born in TN 1843.

186 iv. Thomas Chitwood was born in TN 1846.

187 v. John Chitwood was born in Scott Co., TN 31 May 1848. He married Mary Elizabeth Payne. Mary was born June 1851 in MO.

John served in the military in KY.

188 vi. Joel Chitwood was born in TN Feb 1851. He married twice. He married Phoebe Doughty 1870. Phoebe was born 1851 in MO. Phoebe died 2 Sept 1882 in KS, at 31 years of age. He married Mary F. Bullock 14 Nov 1884. Mary was born Mar 1851 in KY.

189 vii. Henry Chitwood was born in Scott Co., TN 13 Aug 1853. He married Louellen B. Stillwell 1871 in Jefferson Co., KS. Louellen was born ca 1855 in MO.

190 viii. Sarah Elizabeth Chitwood was born in Scott Co., TN 7 Dec 1855. She married Daniel Doughty in Jefferson Co., KS.

191 ix. Pleasant Chitwood was born in Scott Co., TN 14 Aug 1859. He married Mattie E. Mattie was born Sept 1867 in AR.

192 x. Polly Ann Chitwood was born 1862. She married Jim G. Hunter.
