He was married on June 17, 1985
in Potosi, Mo., to Debby Campbell, who survives at the home. He is also survived by three children, John, 12, Christa, 7,
and Alex, 5, all of the home: his parents George and Chalice Pruett, of Holts Summit; twin brother, Micheal Pruett, of
Jefferson City: paternal grandmother, Opal Pruett, of Rolla; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was a caring
father, and husband, a devoted worker and was well-liked by his co-workers. He belonged to the National Rifle Association,
North American Hunting Club and was an avid outdoors man, enjoying camping, fishing, hiking, hunting and Blackpowder shooting.
He also owned his own horse and loved to trail ride.
He worked at St. Marys Health Center from 1993 to the present, most recently
as Tumor registrar for the Oncology Department. He had worked for seven years as a Lincoln University public safety officer and
had been a Holts Summit police officer and a Callaway County Sheriff's deputy. He also taught bead work at the Juvenile Center in
Cole County. He attended the Concord Pentecostal Church of God.
Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. Monday, September 21, at the
Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel in Jefferson City. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, at the Houser-Millard
Chapel, with the Rev. Danny Nichols, Rev. Lowell Perkins and Rev. John Kerr officiating. Interment was in the Hart Hill Cemetery.
