I have recently became interested in new storage media now that I have installed a CDRW drive in my computer. It is really nice to be able to backup my 10 gig hard drive on 2 cd's verses hundreds of diskettes or multiple tape backups.
You can also make backups of your program disk (but check the copyright policies that you received with the program when you bought it) but most companies allow you to make 1 backup for you in case the original gets damaged. Do not make multiple backups
or sell any backups that you make as this would be pirating of software. Now that it has been said on to other things.
You can also use CDR'S and CD-RW'S for so many other things also. Making backups of documents, family pictures, scanned
items, music cd's, and other important items. There is even a rumor that you can make backups of
PlayStation Games.
